The Vatican announced on February 12 that Pope Francis has called for the canonization of Cardinal John Henry Newman by approving the second miracle attributed to his intercession.
“The miracle occurred in May 2013 in the USA. An expectant mother was suffering from unstoppable internal bleeding which threatened the life of her child in the womb. She had long been a devotee of Blessed John Henry, and in prayer she directly and explicitly invoked Newman’s intercession to stop the bleeding. The miraculous healing was immediate, complete, and permanent” read Cardinal Angelo Becciu, the Prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Causes of Saints, after the Pope authorized him to promulgate the decree confirming a miracle through the intercession of Blessed John Henry Newman.
This is sure to offer encouragement and a much needed impetus for those in the Pro-Life movement throughout the world who work tirelessly to save and protect the Unborn.
It is so like our great and wonderful God to step into this time and space; our time and space, and manifest His power by supernaturally bringing to healing and wholeness a Mother whose life, and the life of her Unborn child, are threatened by natural causes, through the intercession of a convert to Catholic Faith. And this at a time when the Lord of the World is p(sc)reaching, “The Lives of Mothers and Unborn Children Have NO VALUE!”
It couldn’t come at a better time; it’s the perfect time; it’s God’s perfect time!
